How Fantasy LoL works
Fantasy sports for professional League of Legends. Draft five pros, one per role (Top, Jungle, Mid, ADC, Support), under a salary cap, lock your roster in champ-select style, and let real LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS and LCP games decide who called it right.
What is Fantasy LoL?
It's a fantasy league for League of Legends esports, the same idea as fantasy football or fantasy basketball but built around pro LoL. You and your friends each draft a five-player roster from the real pro scene, and every week your players' real match performances turn into fantasy points. Whoever's roster scores the most wins the week; standings and a playoff bracket run across a split.
How do I start a league with friends?
Create a league, pick a format (salary-cap or snake draft), and share the invite code or link with up to 11 friends. Once everyone's in, the league drafts, either simultaneously against a shared salary cap or in snake-draft turn order, and the season starts scoring off real games from there. No app to install and no spreadsheet to maintain; it's free.
What's a salary-cap draft vs. a snake draft?
In a salary-cap draft, every pro has a price and each manager builds a five-role roster under a shared salary cap (a $42,000 cap by default), closer to daily fantasy, where the trade-off is star power vs. depth. In a snake draft, managers take turns picking players in reversing order (1-2-3…3-2-1) until every roster is full: the classic fantasy-league draft, no prices involved. Both are one player per role: Top, Jungle, Mid, ADC, Support.
How does scoring work?
Every drafted player earns fantasy points from their own real match stat line, the same numbers official broadcasts put on screen between fights:
- Kills, deaths, assists: the core box score. Kills and assists score positive, deaths cost a little.
- CS/min and damage/min: farming and teamfight output, scored as a rate so a 25-minute stomp and a 45-minute slugfest are judged fairly against each other.
- Damage share and vision score: reward carrying a team's offense and the map-control game supports and junglers actually play.
- Kill participation, full-game and in the first 15 minutes: how involved a player was in their team's kills, including the early game.
- Gold and XP lead at 15:00: a signed comparison against the opposing player in the same role: a lane you won scores positive, a lane you lost costs points.
- Win bonus, with extra for a fast win, plus rare-event bonuses for standout games: multikills, a flawless game, first blood.
Which leagues and regions are covered?
The five major professional League of Legends regions, pulled from real match data (Oracle's Elixir) and refreshed through the season. A league can span every region or lock to just one:
- LCK (South Korea): League of Legends Champions Korea, widely regarded as the strongest region, home of T1 and Faker and a long record of international titles.
- LPL (China): League of Legends Pro League, the largest major by team count, known for a fast, skirmish-heavy style and multiple World Championship titles.
- LEC (Europe, Middle East & Africa): the League of Legends EMEA Championship, famous for creative drafting and the long-running G2 Esports vs. Fnatic rivalry.
- LCS (North America): the League Championship Series, North America's top league, now competing under the LTA (League of Legends Championship of the Americas) banner.
- LCP (Asia-Pacific): the League of Legends Championship Pacific, launched in 2025 by merging the former PCS and VCS regions (Taiwan, Vietnam, Southeast Asia and Oceania).
